Dark Circles Under Eyes
"I work too hard so I get dark circles under my eyes", I have so many people tell me this. Having been a Beauty Expert for over 15 years I know that putting sliced cucumber on dark circles does not work and that dark circles really can get you down.
The reality is that dark circles are actually caused by little capillaries which deposit blood around the eye area where the skin is thinner and more fragile. The blood begins to degenerate and turns purple, resulting in a dark circle.
Remember the skin around the eye is one of the most sensitive areas on the body. Because of this it is important to know how to properly apply eye creams. Proper application will reduce chances of irritation - including redness and swelling.
Only a tiny amount of any eye cream is needed to cover the area. Using the ring finger dot the eye cream along the edge of the bone surrounding the eye. Two dots of cream should be sufficient to cover the area. Gently pat (do not rub!) the cream into the skin - staying around the edge of the bone. Do not get closer! Eye creams, once absorbed into the skin, will spread. If the eye cream is applied to close to the eyelid - the cream will reach the delicate areas of the lash line and increase the risk of swelling and irritation.
Tips:
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
- Balanced Diet
- Plenty of sleep.
