How to apply self tanner your legs

Self Tan Legs

Out of all your body parts I truly hate doing my legs!! I feel that these are the hardest and the most “tell tale “ areas of any self tan.

Over the years I have practiced and practiced ……. But hopefully after 10 years of applying self tan I can share with you my tried and tested method. Good luck!

  • Preparation/Exfoliation

This is the main secret. I know it is time consuming and boring but it really is a must – sorry. Use either a salt or sugar body scrub. This step will help to remove all dead/dry skin and keep the self tanner from streaking on your legs

  • Colour

Do not use a colour that is too dark for your skin – this will always end in disaster, believe me I have been there! If you are pale use an gradual every day self tan. If your are tanned from holiday or naturally you can be more adventurous

  • Moisturising

Apply a generous amount of moisturising body lotion to your knees and feet. This will stop the self tan from “sticking /darkening those dry areas

  • Protection

Always wear latex gloves as the palms of your hands are extremely porous and will stain. - Not a great look!

  • Time

This is not a rush job! Massage your self tan to both legs until completely absorbed – slowly

  • Allow your legs to dry properly

Usually about 30 mins does the trick

  • Keep moisturised

This will enable the self tan to fade evenly

There is no doubt having a tan makes you feel thinner, sexier and healthier. But a badly applied self tan is, in my humble opinion is the worse!!
